Winning in anÅeover storedÅfera

Will Seven-Eleven stop making new outlets once they reach 10,000 stores? The answer is they will more than likely continue onward to 15 or 20,000 stores. Even taking into account ‘Winning Logic’, it is widely regarded that Japan's gross sales of food will continue to decline into the future as goods equals amount (population etc) multiplies unit value (deflation etc). The question is how one comfortably increases the company's sales on a continual basis? The only answer is to differentiate our sales method and goods from others.

※""Over stored" refers to a state in which the customer's needs are exceeded than supply from stores with the same purpose.

Differentiation of Goods

How come there are so many convenience stores where do not sell fresh meat, fish or vegetables increase their outlets? This is thought to derive from the customer's change in lifestyle and eating habits. It is uncommon nowadays for example to purchase a single white Japanese radish and gently boil and eat it, and with such eating habits even decreasing into the future it is foreseen that supermarkets that continue to sell such foodstuff will have a semi-permanent uphill battle on their hands. The customer wants to eat professional-tasting food from a speedy menu, whenever it’s necessary and only the amount needed. The only way to comfortably increase profits on a regular basis is to immediately realize, accept, and adopt to constant changes. For this reason, if the retail trader doesn't provide safe goods that meet the customers new eating habits there is always the possibility of dying out its course.

Differentiation of Sales Methods

Even with the continuation of grim economic conditions and an even grimmer period thought to lie ahead, food supermarkets have left relatively high prices on items strongly sought after by customers, such as prepared food. Prepared food that has been flavored is easy to differentiate from other stores, making it an important element for food supermarkets for increasing sales into the future, however, there still are many supermarkets where purchased from intermediate wholesaler.

In an age where low-cost is a keyword, one must provide a method of sales where prepared food can be enjoyed at home without any loss. This is achieved by supplying the customer, via EDLP, with a quick menu, pro-tasting food in exactly the amount needed, available when it's needed and with little fuss involved.
